During this module, students will learn what a sustainable university is, what actions a university should undertake to become sustainable, what competencies should be fostered to benefit future generations, and how these competencies align with the needs of employers. Through inquiry-based learning, students will identify desired university actions and then develop an illustration of them using the methodology of interactive case studies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will learn how to convey information and promote initiatives in the field of sustainable universities in a simple and accessible way. They will also discover that a sustainable university cultivates sustainable development competencies that are currently in demand in the job market. The module also aims to make students aware of the roles that academics, students, and employers play in co-creating a sustainable university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Module 2: Zero waste in practice<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The module focuses on the concept of &#8220;zero waste&#8221; and the transformation of the environment in accordance with the 4R principle: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle. During the course, participants will learn what zero waste is and what the 4R principle entails, what steps can be taken to implement a zero waste policy, and what the benefits are of changing resource management practices according to the 4R principle. Participation in the course will allow participants to critically analyze their surrounding environment, draw meaningful conclusions, and develop skills for preparing and managing social projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the Hackathon, participants will work in small groups to start their own projects and will continue working on them after the Hackathon ends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in the course also fosters the development of social competencies, such as communication skills, empathy, leadership, and teamwork.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program includes: integration workshops, mini lectures with moderated discussions, masterclasses, social project management workshops, the &#8220;Less is more&#8221; Hackathon, and work in mini-groups under the guidance of a mentor on their own projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Module 3: Good energy<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The module focuses on energy-related issues and the impact of human energy usage habits on the environment. During the course, participants will learn about energy sources, energy efficiency, and how everyday energy user behaviors affect energy consumption. Using an inquiry-based learning approach, the module allows participants to draw critical conclusions about how their environment operates. Through workshops on the influence of social media and how we communicate online on evolving consumer habits, participants will gain the knowledge needed to create their own media content that encourages their peers to be mindful of how they use energy daily.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project aims to strengthen social competencies such as communication skills and understanding, the ability to design and implement interventions, empathy, leadership, and teamwork. The program includes: integration workshops, mini-lectures with moderated discussions, masterclasses, workshops on creating social media content, and work in small groups under the guidance of a mentor to develop their own social media campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Academy of Responsible Development in Italy<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Module 4: Sustainable living: Food recycling programme<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This program offers a holistic exploration of sustainability and circular practices. Participants embark on a transformative journey, starting with an introduction to circular economy principles and sustainable practices, expanding their horizons to understand global perspectives on circular economy initiatives and sustainable food systems. They learn to adapt global insights to local contexts, drive practical implementation within their communities, and address pressing issues like food waste. This course equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to become change agents, promoting sustainability and circularity within their communities and beyond. The first \u201cCircular Economy and Sustainable Practices\u201d, is an introductory activity that explores the principles of circular economy and sustainable practices. Participants develop a global perspective on sustainability and learn to apply these principles in their local contexts. With the second activity\u00a0 \u201cGlobal Perspectives on Circular Economy and Sustainable Food Practices\u201d this activity\u00a0 takes a global view of circular economy initiatives and sustainable food practices. It delves into international policies, cultural influences, and the adaptation of global innovations to foster sustainable food systems. The \u201cInnovations and Practical Implementation of Circular Economy in Local Communities\u201d are in the tirth activity, where the Participants learn to adapt global insights to local contexts, exploring innovative strategies and practical implementation methods. This Activity equips them to become change agents in their communities.The activity\u00a0 four on \u201cFood Waste Impact and Practical Solutions\u201d focusing on food waste, this activity\u00a0 examines its global impact and provides practical solutions. Participants learn to minimize waste in the food supply chain, fostering a commitment to sustainable food practices. Participants develop skills to implement sustainable food recycling practices at both individual and community levels. Together, these activities provide a comprehensive journey from global insights to local action, empowering participants to drive sustainability and circular practices within their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Academy of Responsible Development in Turkiye<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Module 5: Sustainable Finance<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this module, young people will have the chance to see sustainable green economy from a broad perspective. Participants who will learn the basic principles of digital and financial literacy will also learn economic concepts at a basic level. The income-expenditure balance that every young person needs and its continuity are vital elements for this module. With the help of the practical applications that will be developed within the framework of the module, the participating youngsters will have the chance to experience the practical applications from the learning environment to the real life experience.
